Greetings fellow members
I have a simple question.
I plan to update my CPU on ASUS Crosshair VI Hero X370. The CPU I use now is 1800X
I know need to flash my BIOS to new version since have still the 8002
But ..I heard also , in some motherboards due to lack of capacity on the nature of the BIOS, when update to new BIOS for the 5000 series support, they stop supporting old CPUs .
So I have a dilemma on that ..because found no information on official site
If I update the new BIOS, will still have support until purchase the R5 5600? Or will have issues?
Thanks

There are no such restrictions on the BIOS for that board
if there were, it would say it on the bios updates.

there are some boards that delete CPU as they go, but not yours. You can upgrade bios to top one on your current CPU and then swap.

you only 3 bios behind anyway

You are fine.
Thanks for the information.
I didn't update the next version or the beta anyway, since I have near a year using only Linux.
So didn't want to risk to update to next version....
Because I know always is the risk..even for good quality motherboards :)
