BIOS update problem

I am trying to update from version 22.3 to 22.4 manually, I heard MSI's Live Update sucks.

I download the .zip and extract to my downloads file.

I'm not sure what to do next.

There is an .exe file, but I click on it and it says something about the file not being compatible with the version of windows I am running. Check to see whether you need a x86 or x64 version of the program.

In short, I have no idea what I am doing and I'd like to update my BIOS.

Did you read the Word document that's included? Section "Reflash BIOS by USB Disk Under DOS Mode Procedure" should answer your question. You'll probably have to use a bootable USB disk.
