Bios Upgrade chip help

Hi there,
I am looking to fix my corrupt bios chip and ive been looking around and have found a bios chip programmer:

My motherboard is msi 970 gaming, cant it support such reader? i cannot find out as i dont know if the bios chip is SOIC8 or not. Please help thanks

I may clear the bios ic with the programmer and flash it with the code from msi website the BIN file, is this the way to go or do i have to buy a new chip. The reason why it got corrupt is because it got stuck when flashing new bios from usb and so it got corrupted.

What makes you think your BIOS chip is corrupt? Did you try resetting the BIOS to its default state?

No display, no usb interface (keyboard does not light up nor does the mouse), fans and led's spinning as well as gpu,
The bios is pretty much corrupted, this only happend after i failed to flash my motherboard as it got stuck on 96% and then just froze and gave a blank screen

I will rater use the bios programmer rather than getting a new chip as it can be cleared and re-programed an no soldering is required

Yes i did
I did not do the cmos jumper tho, shall i do that as well?
