Please, help me. I'm desperate. I ran the command, got the common readout along the lines of:
"
MBR2GPT: Attempting to validate disk 0
MBR2GPT: Retrieving layout of diskMBR2GPT:
MBR2GPT: Validating layout, disk sector size is: 512 bytes
MBR2GPT: Trying to shrink the OS partition
MBR2GPT: Creating the EFI system partition
MBR2GPT: Installing the new boot files
MBR2GPT: Performing the layout conversion
MBR2GPT: Migrating default boot entry
MBR2GPT: Adding recovery boot entry
MBR2GPT: Fixing drive letter mapping
MBR2GPT: Conversion completed successfully
Call WinReReapir to repair WinRE
MBR2GPT: Failed to update ReAgent.xml, please try to manually disable and enable WinRE.
MBR2GPT: Before the new system can boot properly you need to switch the firmware to boot to UEFI mode!
"
And now I can't get past the bios screen without it telling me that either I don't have a boot device or the bios popping up telling me to change boot settings. I've been looking online for hours and I just can't find a solution, so forgive me if this is an easy fix. I used the windows media creation tool to run the cli and see if the drive is marked as gpt and it has the Asterix, but it's almost like my bios refuses to acknowledge it as such.
The motherboard is an Asus P8z77-v running its latest version of the bios. If I turn off CSM the boot drive isn't even listed. If I try to run it with the CSM settings enabled, it won't boot.
I am very distraught. I only recently learned of the mbr2gpt command and figured I'd get my system ready for when I migrated my data over to a newer drive this year and this was supposed to be a simple procedure...
