[SOLVED] BIOS wont Update

Im trying to do the windows method to update my bios for Z390 Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard. However, everytime i run the ASROM.exe it reads the flash then just closes afterwards without doing anything.

Don't use that method. It is ALWAYS better to download the desired BIOS version, unpack it to a USB flash drive and update the BIOS from WITHIN the BIOS, using the built in update utitility. No exceptions. Some board manufacturers have actually recommended that you NOT use their desktop update utilities and instead ONLY update from within the BIOS. Too many issues with other methods.

Download the BIOS file you want to update to from here:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z390 Phantom Gaming 4/index.asp#BIOS

Then right click on it can choose properties and check the Unblock box and click the apply button.
Then Unzip it to get the actual BIOS file you will need.
