Bioshock Infinite wont launch, instead presented with a black screen.

Whenever I launch Bioshock Infinite the game won't launch and instead I'm stuck with a black screen that won't go away and let me do anything until I reset my computer. The first time I launched the game it worked perfectly and I was able to play it with no issues but ever since then the problem occurs. I have tried 3 different solutions to the problem that I have read about being helpful to others in this situation but they were of no use to me. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Not wanting to sound rude, but is this a full version of the game, or a DL hacked/cracked copy?
It's often the case cracked versions will crash the system.

If it's a legit version, I would try re-installing it, and see how you get on.

Download geek uinstaller and uninstall it with it and it should remove all registry keys etc.. And then reinstall game.

Yeah it's the full version. I p[icked it up during the Steam Ssale along with the 1st two Bioshock games.

Hmm i just read that u can fix that by deliting config file in My documents.

BIG EDIT: try this : go to bioshock infinite in steam, go to its properties, in the general tab, click set launch options, now type this "-windowed".

PS: can you hear the sound of game startup ?

have you tried verifying the files via the steam console. I find it often helps kick some games that are problematic into gear.
