Black Borderless Rectangles randomly appearing

Hello! I have a recurring issue on a number of work stations and it's beginning to concern me. Every so often a workstation gets small business card sized black boxes appear with no borders or top menu on them, just random black boxes. Sometimes they stay in one spot, other times they blink and flash and then disappear.
I have followed suggested threads, http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-3426393/fix-hourly-cmd-window-pop-appearing.html, however the workstations I have tested this on do not show an Office folder for the Task Scheduler, and I cannot disable the task.
Any help would be appreciated. I've performed virus scans on the computers and nothing has been detected. I will run another scan on one of the machines tonight just to be sure using Housecall.
Also, one of my workers was able to take video of the boxes, here is a link for reference.

Huh, seems interesting. Have you tested other monitors and cables and got the same results?

does it happen on any application? or just browsers?

that is a pretty weird problem you got there, That faq isn't to fix this, its for command prompt windows.

Are there even graphics card and motherboard drivers? How about a BIOS update?

That's a good thought. I'll check on some updates for the drivers, as well as swapping some monitor cords and possibly monitors as well.
What's got me concerned is it seems to be slowly affecting more and more computers, but only seems to show up in Chrome sessions.
I do have some of the computers on Metered connections to minimize the network drain when Windows wants to update, I'll force those machines to go and fetch updates. The weird thing is that not all the machines are on a metered connection and experiencing the same things. Possibly a Chrome glitch then, un-install and re-installing Chrome may be the next step.

Turning on (or off) Hardware Acceleration in Chrome may help.

Some people say turning this option off in Chrome helps: chrome://flags/#disable-slimming-paint
Open that as an URL in Chrome. It might ask you turn the option off, if so, turn it off. (I don't use Chrome sorry).

I tried this out on two of the affected workstations a few days ago and the problems haven't resurfaced. I've pushed it out to the remaining workstations and it has worked. Thanks very much for the solution!
