Black or red mass storage

I plan on using the memory for archiving pictures music and videos and I don't plan on deleting anything that is written to the drive but I will be cominly using it copying to media devices streaming around the house and editing

Thinking of getting a couple of drives and setting it in raid 0 later get the same drives and setting it to back up

I would like to get about 16tb for now and plan on getting a nother set for game recording and editing 5760x1080p

What is the speed difference of black and red and how is red better for raid

Red drives are designed to run 24/7

Blacks are designed for high performance and to run 24/7. They also come with a 5 year warranty.

Blacks are better but more expensive. The WD Black 6 TB drive is currently the fastest hard drive in the market right now. If you have the money go black.

Depends on the drives you are looking at, depending on size, (both black and red) there are a variety of drives with different RPM and cache sizes
