Hallo ladies and gentlemen

I think if I recall correctly I posted the same problem a year ago. Whenever I start gaming a or a medium graphics game for example ( Teamfortress 2, Dota 2, Amnesia machine for pigs or Call of Duty Black ops 2 and up ), My screen black out for a moment then the game crash following with my graphics drivers crashing as well. At first people said my PSU is to small so I replaced that as well. The people said it might be because my CPU is to weak for my Graphics card in which a few other IT guys told me it's impossible. So I just want to verify from the other IT pro's over the world if its true or not. I am working at the moment to upgrade my PC at the end off January. My graphics drivers is updated to the latest and here is my specs.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 3.06 Ghz
GPU: GeForce GTX 550 Ti
PSU: Thermaltake 800W
RAM: 2x (2Gb) DDR2 Ram
HDD: 500GB and a 500Gb external

Please guys any advise would be nice.
Thank you. SandMan

P.s I had a look at the temperatures as well both run around 35 Celsius

Edit: While I am in game the temperature rises up to 41 Celsius on the CPU

Solution
Try re-installing Windows first since your going to upgrade your hardware anyway. Then install the latest drives and updates. If the problem is gone then the GPU is good. But if the problem still persists then you might consider replacing your GPU.
Hmmm. Maybe your hardware is really old. Do you use your computer everyday without turning it off? If yes, then maybe your system is dying. You said you asked the same question a year ago. Assuming you still use the same system as before, maybe your hardware is already damaged. But if all is new and still get crashes, maybe there are system conflicts between the game settings and your system.

I don't remember upgrading anything since after I posted the question. I got tired of trying to fix the problem then started gaming on the Xbox which had no problems but I started a YouTube channel and I kinda need the pc now. My friend at work tells me its the windows and need to re-install and I can't imagine that it would be the problem but I think I might try anyway.

Otherwise I should be patient and wait till the end of January upgrade and then hopefully my problem would be gone... Just a future question say I upgrade my CPU, Motherboard and Ram then the problem must be my Graphics card ? What can I then do to fix it ?

Solution
Ok so I reinstalled Windows 7 and now I am almost certain it is the CPU... It is worse now... I am only browsing then my PC black screens again but this time it did it 5 times in a row black screen 10 seconds that it returns to my desktop and then black screen again... I was busy downloading all the software I needed. After the 5th black screen I get the dreaded blue screen of death... So it looks like a CPU problem

EDIT: When I posted this I realized the occurrence of the black screen increased the only thing I did different was installing a updated Graphics driver... So instead of updating the driver I went back to one off the old ones. I thought maybe the driver is demanding to much for the dinosaur CPU that I own. My hunch was correct. I played Saints Row IV and could not finish the first stage without a crash. The older driver brought me almost to the end of the second stage. I am downloading an more older driver and test drive that one as well.
