Black screen after new RAM installed?

Now, I am aware that the mhz on the ram is much faster than my Mobo, but I was told that the speed would downgrade to whatever my mobo can handle.

After I installed my new ram, screen is black but pc still running. My old ram still works fine

MSI states that the maximum ram you can install is 4GB...So unistall one of the RAM's and see if that works

Tried that no luck. And sorry this was the spec i was looking at for my Mobo, says max here is 8gb. Not sure why it is different. Both link are directly from the MSI site

Have you updated your BIOS?If not maybe you should just in case...

I have. Downloaded it from the MSI site and extracted it on a USB, then went into bios and went into the that 'Flash..' option, asked me to locate the bios file on the usb and started updating, it restarted and no luck. No sure what to do really. Tried clearing the CMOS too, no luck. I did not play with anything in the BIOS, I left it all as is, now am not sure if I have to change something but I believe it should pick it up automatically.

Hm maybe you should change something in the BIOS since its newly installed RAM...Im not a Memory expert though and you should wait for one to respond!

Update link for RAM. Previous didnt work for some reason.

The specs does say max memory 4gb...also it looks like only 1333 is supported and thats OCed. Go into the bios and set it to 1066 and 1.5v manually.
