[SOLVED] Black Screen After Ram Upgrade

I wanted to upgrade my laptop to 16gb of RAM so I ordered another 8gb stick. When I put it in and turned on the laptop the screen was just black, keyboard lighting was on, fans were spinning. So after that I took out the ram stick and just left the stock one in there an it turned on as normal. I'd be very happy if someone helped me figure out what is wrong with it.
