[SOLVED] Black screen after startup

Hi all,
I have recently run into an issue where my screen goes black on startup, generally this occurs shortly after the windows logo appears. It does not even make it to the Log In screen. I can use the BIOS however.
I believe this is my new GPU, RTX 2080.
This is because I have reinstalled drivers as well as windows on the drive and this has not solved the issue.
When I put my old GPU (ASUS GTX 970) I do no encounter any issues with startup and can use my computer as normal.

This makes me believe it is an issue with the GPU, otherwise it could be my PSU as it is roughly 7 years old. However, as stated previously my computer works as normal with all the same setup, but my old GPU.

If you have any suggestions or quetsions please send them to me, if not I shall send it back to the store.

Hello! I had this problem weeks ago if i'm right. I used this website (https://www.google.se/amp/s/www.windowscentral.com/how-fix-black-screen-problems-windows-10%3famp). the only solution that worked for me was to wait over 6 hours.
