I am new to this so please excuse my lack of the proper vocabulary. I bought a new RAM stick to upgrade my laptop. It only has one slot. The laptop is an an Acer A315-58. It is my first laptop, before this I only ever had desktop PCs.
When I had a PC, all I had to do to upgrade the RAM was put the new one in.
But with this laptop when I try to put a new RAM stick in, it won't turn on. The screen is fully black, no error messages or beeps or anything. I checked the website and the RAM is perfectly compatable with the laptop.
The laptop model is Acer Aspire A315-58.
Processor 11gen Intel Core i3-1115G4 @ 3.00Ghz 2995Mhz
New RAM: Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM
I don't know what to do besides paying someone to look at it, so I figure I would come here first and ask.
