Hi
This is my second post on this forum so forgive me if i am in the wrong thread our use the wrong syntax.

I have built my first PC about 3-4 months ago and its been great, i really enjoyed the build process and mostly everything went without a hitch, but recently i have been experiencing some problems with booting into windows. Whenever i turn my PC on, it shows the MSI boot splash screen like normal but instead of the little windows loading/ spinning dots appearing under the splash screen, the screen just goes black but the the display does not turn off, nor does the PC itself. The weird thing is if i just hit the restart button on the front IO the PC restarts and the MSI boot splash screen shows up AND the windows loading dots as well and windows boots like normal.
It's quite weird behaviour and i have no clue whats causing it. I've already tried looking up the problem and followed some basic troubleshooting such as, checking the display connection, restarting the PC in safe mode and deleting the display driver, checking that the graphics card is fully seated.
I'm quite stumped and would appreciate any and all help i could get in the matter, i know there are some PC GODS in this forum and i am but a mere mortal in comparison just hoping for some insight.

Thanks for your time.

yes, updating your drivers on motherboard probably help.

Turning that off is just a work around, its not a complete solution unless you have an SSD as you really don't need it then. SSD fast enough.

If your MSI motherboard has a utility called Live update 6 on the Utility tab of the Motherboard Support page, then I would dl it and install it on PC and run it as if PC is new, you likely have newer drivers.

what GPU do you have? MIght help to update its drivers too.
