Hi,

Basically, upon restarting my desktop (which has a wired Ethernet cable for connectivity) I am met with an impassable black screen with a white dash in the upper left hand corner. Troubleshooting brought me to the point where if I unplug my Ethernet cable, the computer will boot without issue and when the cable is plugged in, I am met with this issue. Any advice? I have already discounted any issue with the cable itself and the connection port.

Regards

Martyn

Windows 10 right?

With the power on, pull the plug on the system (if a laptop, remove the battery first)

Wait a minute-ish and power it back up.

Often, this is a Sleep/Hibernate failure issue and doing the above forces the system to correct itself.
