Question Black screen for a few seconds

OS Windows 7 - This only started happening recently.
Every so often when I'm clicking on different tabs in chrome for the next 5 seconds nothing will click.
I can still move the mouse around for 2 seconds.
The mouse will then proceed to freeze in place for 2 seconds
The screen will go black and turn back on in 4 seconds
There will be a yellow warning triangle in the notification area but when I mouse over or click on the yellow warning triangle it dissapears.

Before I make you panic for no reason just check if you updated video drivers recently and reverse the previous version.

The first suspect will be the power supply. How old is it?
If you suspect the power supply too just stop using the system asap. If you have the knowledge take out the power supply and go to a local store that fixes computers and if they are nice they will measure it's voltages for free.
I had a similar issue with my previous pc and an old damaged power supply made my old motherboard unusable.
Maybe and I hope is not the issue. But if it is you have to accept it and replace it before is late!
