Black screen issue

So i downloaded skinpack on my HP ENVY which was currently on windows 8 and the program told me to restart my computer. after i did my computer came on , the hp logo comes up as it boots and then i get a black screen with the cursor glitching and i am unable to click anything. i have tried multiple things to fix this but i was wondering if anyone could give me more specific advise

Sounds like the hard drive is dead. Can you get it out and try it externally?
