Black Screen issue..

I rarely get this, but its starting to happen more.. basically im watching movies,browsing,etc.. then my screen would just blank out.


I can hear my video sound

My dvi-hdmi is plug tight


my screen isnt fully black, you can still see the lights from the monitor screen kind of like a shade

i cant do nothing to return my display back, i need to restart my pc..

to put it simple, my display (windows,videos,mouse pointer,etc) is still on as i can hear music/people talking but my monitor is all black.

Sounds like a PSU issue, good power connections to the GPU? Another PSU you could try?

well ive been using my pc alot lately, daily 8hr on.. but not noticing any decrease with opening files,etc

i post my spec in my topic, is it that i bought a wrong psu for my gpu?

PSU could be going, might also have a monitor that's overheating or going bad

Post your 12v, 5v and 3.3v readings froms bios.

Try another graphics card. Try your graphics card in another PC

BIOS and all updated? some 1150 boards don't play well with R9 series GPUs without BIOS updates.

as u know, im very new to pc tech shit.. can i get a link for my bios update? also i heard sometimes it can fck up your bios and might need to buy a new one..
