Hello there!

I apologize for a very long thread but I need help with this peculiar problem!!

I recently bought a Palit Geforce GTX 1070 Super Jetstream.

The first 24 hours was a blessing. My old GFX-card was a radeon HD 7850 so you can imagine that I could feel the upgrade. Unfortunately, the happiness was shot lived. Around 24 hours after installment, I experienced a problem. Suddenly my monitor did not receive a signal from my computer.. I tried every port (DVI, HDMI and display port) but nothing worked.

I search the internet and found a forum thread describing more or less the same problem I was experiencing (as described above). There were numerous proposals, one of which was to deactive iGPU (integrated GPU) in the BIOS (motherboard BIOS). So I attached my old GFX-card into the computer and I got a signal again. I entered the BIOS and disabled the iGPU. Then I inserted the Palit Geforce 1070 again and to my joy, a signal was received by the monitor again.. ! I thought the problem was solved and so it seemed for yet another 24 hours. The computer worked perfectly again, even after several reboots and shutdowns. I played games for many hours without any problems. Suddently, after 24 hours the same problem occurred again. This time, however, I have not been able to get a signal on the monitor again. I have tried several things including:

Resetting and updating the BIOS
In BIOS, disable anything related to iGPU and selected "PEG" (PCI Express Graphics) as "primary display device"
unplugged and replugged the Palit Geforce 1070 several times
Tried another PSU (a Corsair 750W)
unplugged all other components but the GFX-card (including removing one of my two RAM sticks)

Nothing worked..
As a last resort I took the Palit GFX card to a friend and we tried it in his computer (his PC has a much newer motherboard/CPU). To my surprise it seemed to work in his computer. We are currently waiting to see if he will also experience the same problems after ~ 24 hours of usage.

As of now, Im thinking it might be some sort of compatibility issue with my computer/motherboard (which is somewhat old) and this new GFX card, because it seems that both my motherboard and new GFX card works seperately, just not together!

Really frustrating, and I hope someone here could help me !

Thank you in advance for reading this and any suggestions you might have

Setup:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3
CPU: Core i7 2700K
PSU: Corsair 600W

UPDATE: after 24-30 hours my friend also experienced the same problems I had with the palit gfx-card - no signal to monitor and CPU fan acting weird.

Doest the POST beeps to tell you what is causing the problem? Well I hope you get everything sorted out.

I've had abit trouble in finding exactly what the beeps are telling me (and what the lack of beeps is pointing out as well). But some of the suggestions I've found are related to that something is damaged! ..

What model corsair PSU are you ( your friend) using?

I had the same thing happen with my new 1070 as well. I have the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0. It ran fine for about 24 hours running the Firestrike benchmark and running an Oculus Rift. The next day I couldn't get Firestrike to finish. It would crash BOD or black screen even just after logging into Windows for a few minutes. However I was able to put my old 560 ti back in, and now it works fine. I'm also using an older motherboard, ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3. It feels like a compatibility issue with the latest NVIDIA drivers and my older motherboard, but who knows. The 1070 ran without a problem when I used the basic windows drivers at low resolution. But whenever I added back the NVIDIA drivers, I'd go back to crashing again. I just initiated an RMA with EVGA and sending mine back today as well.

My MSI Geforce gaming x game today, wish I would of bought this card in the first place, nice design, played DOOM for 2 hours straight with no crashes or problem what so ever and max temperature whilst playing was 68c, just put it in the 2nd PCI slot rather than the first due to broken lock. If Ebuyer don't refund me, I'm going go Doom Marine on their asses.

I had/have exactly the same problem like Corkeinator Palit Jetsrem 1070 but mine never showed anything, even no post!
iGPU and old GTX 260 works flawless. I sent the card back and I ordered one MSI gtx 1070 Gaming X should arrive on monday or tuesday.

Finally got a new card back from EVGA, 3 days ago, after doing an RMA with a 1070 FTW. It's been running like a champ for 3 days straight on my Oculus Rift and other games. Guess it was just a bad card afterall.

I got the exact same card, and within 4 days the same thing happened to me, was in the middle of a league of legends game and it froze, i powered off the machine by holding the power button down, and then no signal was detected (dual monitor setup), removed all cables and graphics card and then inserted it again, it worked again and then after like 30 minutes it just froze again, i have now removed the gpu from the system and using the onboard graphics card of my cpu which seems to be fine. i have found that the led lights will turn blue, red and then green but then turn off afterwards when no signal is detected. But when a signal is detected it stays green

My Palit GTX 1070 JetStream also died within 24h. Installed it and tested friday and couldn`t turn on PC saturday. PC started only without GPU in it. Tried all things also doesn`t work in other PC. ( no GPU in Manager)
Maybe Palit got problems with solder cracking ? Maybe I turned off PC too soon after playing ?
Send it for RMA.
I got Gigabyte Mobo and I had to force BIOS to be restored from DualBios.

My palit jetstream just died in less than 24 hours too, plugged it in when I got it, but it was late in the evening, so only had it powered on for a couple of hours with no gaming, booted my pc up as I got home from work the next day, after ~4 hours of gaming I suddenly get a crash and a reboot, with some pretty bad artifacting, got into windows - tried using ddu, but pc crashed and rebooted again before I could get done, artifacts on post bios screen as it booted up again - then my screen lost signal and card no longer had leds on.
My old gtx 770 still works perfectly fine.

Same problem in Spain. Palit 1070 Gamerock failed without video señal with any connection (hdmi, DVI etc) in two monitors. Bios in default mode, reinstalling OS , etc etc ..
