So I have a computer that has been running perfectly for a few years, hardware hasn't been changed at all. Recently it started slowing down due to virus' etc etc. Then one day it started blue screening, this persisted for a while until finally it just turned it self off. Every time I turned it on after this would force it into a reboot loop. <-- (This was all on windows 7)

I decided I have had enough and reformatted the HD and upgraded to windows 8. As I was setting up everything was going smooth and fast, then it randomly froze, and a weird coloured screen appeared, then it turned off. Now every time I turn the PC on (not in safe mode) it boots and the windows logo appears then it black screens and has like 2 rows of pixels that light up until it eventually just goes black and stays that way.

I have uninstalled drivers and tried rebooting to no success. I have no clue how to go about fixing this. I can give you specs if you really need them but I don't see why if I haven't messed with the hardware at all.

That's what I considered doing originally, but like the problem started before the new OS. I might try it just to be sure
