Hi there,

My new graphics card arrived today and after putting it into my computer there is no image displayed on my monitor, just a black screen.

My old graphics card worked perfectly fine and it was an NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500.

However my new card ASUS Geoforce GTX 750ti (OC edition), is just giving me black screen.

I've re-plugged in the old card and everything is working fine and when I plug in the new card the fans spin, lights turn on and everything appears to be fine.

Does anyone have any idea why I cant get an image from the new card? I've tried uninstalling all the old drivers and inserting the new card, I've even used one of those programs that clears all graphic drivers but I still cannot get a signal to my monitor.

Also I cannot install the new drivers unless the hardware is connected, but if it's connected I have no screen, so I have no way of installing them.

HELP PLEASE!

My computer is a workstation that has...

2 Intel Xeon processors (3.0ghz each)
Not sure on the motherboard but can find out if its important
12GB RAM
1000W dell power supply

First uninstall the previous card, with the quadro plugged in go to device manager and uninstall it from their, windows will replace it with the basic video driver. Shut down and plug in the 750ti, if it needs the additional 6 pin power adapter (some 750ti's do) plug that in as well. It should work, from their install the new cards drivers from nvidia website. Let me know if that works, if not you likely have a fualty card.

Edit: Just checked your card does need the additional power connector. It is located by the front of the card near the IO panel. If that is not plugged in the card will not fully turn on.

After alot of research I found out that the problem is an UEFI related one, basically my card isnt compatible with my older precision 690 system.

Thanks for the reply though
