Black screen when trying to open games after upgrading GPU

Hi, recently I upgraded my GPU from a GT 640 to a GTX 1050ti 4gb.
Upon installation, it worked fine, I was able to install all the new drivers and update windows.
But when I tried to open a game to actually test performance, the screen went black (it didn't turn off, just displayed black)
Any idea what can be causing this?

Specs:
CPU: intel i5-2500k 3.3ghz
GPU: EVGA Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1050ti 4gb
Ram: 24gb
PSU: 500W

Try uninstalling the Drivers with DDU and then resintall the drivers
which PSU you have?

List your psu model.
Are you overclocking that 2500k?
