Hello everybody,

I have given my brother my old computer and it worked fine for a little bit. All of a sudden when he would turn it on, nothing would display on the monitor. When we turn it on, all lights other than fan lights for a split second turn on. All fans including GPU fans look to be spinning at normal rpm as well. The computer booted up one time randomly and worked almost as it would normally minus unplayable frame-rate when playing games. The GPU was fully connected and RGBs were on and fans were spinning.

I bought and installed a brand new PSU and dusted out the rest of the computer. I made sure everything was wired correctly and there were no loose connections. I also replaced the CMOS battery. When powering on the computer, the auto detection on the monitor comes up but then goes to a black screen making me think the computer is just displaying a black screen. All of the parts in the computer (besides PSU, SSD, Ram) are about 4 years old and has ran fine up until a month ago.

I am about out of ideas now and looking for some help. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Is this the motherboard in your build;
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-TOMAHAWK/support
?

if so, you have the option to flash the BIOS using the button on the rear I/O;
https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/E7C02v1.4-GSE-LITE.pdf
Page 40, Updating BIOS with Flash BIOS Button
Give that a whirl and see if you can revive the system(using the latest BIOS version on the site).
Thank you for the reply.

I have downloaded the latest BIOS version and followed all the directions in the manual. The flashback light blinked for about 4-5 minutes before stopping ( as normal I’d assume) but still no picture on the monitor. Any other suggestions?
Thanks
