I have been having this problem for awhile now, so what would happen is while playing a game (league of legends) about 6-10min in and the screen would go completely black, after that what ever sound was playing it starts to loop. After a little bit, the computer would just restart and open back up. I have checked temperatures and found GPU: around 60-70 degrees, while the CPU: is around 50s.

My setup:
CPU: Intel i5 4690k @ stock (with hyper 212 evo cooler)
GPU: Sapphire r9 290 tri-x oc edition
PSU: Silverstone strider plus silver edition 850W

the problem started long ago when i overclocked, and got a black screen than just rebooted and kept getting black screens, so i had just restored to a couples days back and the computer was fine. But every time i try to update the amd driver it would black screen when i played a game for 6-10min again.
So i stayed on the older version for a couple of months untill now, where i got another error and got a blue screen instead saying "thread stuck in device driver" and after i reboot i would get a weird colored screen so what i did was deleted everything, reformatted the memory and reinstalled fresh windows. The pc turned back on fine and all, i installed all drivers thinking that the problem had been fixed since i had deleted everything and basically started fresh. But i jumpted into league and 6 min later, black screen, sound loop, restart.
another thing too is my psu was making a ticking noise while i had two computers turned on at the same time connected into the wall next to one another. https://tse2.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.Md7a1e29b1add2d298262c462bca047d7H0&pid=15.1

like in the picture, one computer cord on top and another on bottom, and i noticed ticking noise coming from the psu, i turned off other computer and the sound stopped.
Another thing about my psu is it tends to make a chirping noise after playing games for about 3-10 hrs.

so a summry, problem started after a little overclock, but was fine after restoring and worked normally for awhile. I reformatted pc and reinstalled windows and still face same problems. Temps seem fine.

Sorry for the long story but i want to get the whole story out. Thank you for your time. Please help.

What you are describing sounds to me like a bad PSU. They degrade over time, and a signature of their failure is how you describe: starts up, runs fine for a bit, shuts down. Cool Off. Rinse and repeat. Caps and circuitry inside the PSU are heating up, and under higher heat, lose efficiency, and if running against their limit (which falls steadily over time) will shut itself off.

PSU Degradation is heavily based upon load. The higher the load, the faster it degrades. Your OC may have only hastened its demise, but should not be blamed.

A quick way to test for this, is to set up and extra fan of any type to blow more air through the PSU. If when doing this, you get more time out of the computer before it does the shutdown loop, you know that you need a new PSU. Replace your PSU with haste.

If the added airflow cooling the PSU works, DO NOT RELY UPON IT AND CARRY ON LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG. When a PSU dies from this sort of wear and tear, it may take many parts of your PC with it.

yea i was thinking that it was probably psu, but my question is this happened before where it would blackscreen after about 5-10min of use, but last time when i restored it to a later driver, the problem stopped... and i continued to use the computer just fine. This started happening again after i had formatted everything.
