I have been having a lot of black screens in last few months. I thought my computer was bad so I decided to change it. I brought a second hand Dell Optiplex 990 minitower with Core i5 2400 processor. It came with 265 watts PSU and I figured that system would not run my R7 250X GPU. I needed a GPU because Core i5 2400 doesn't support 1920x1080 resolution on its own and display looks blurry on my LCD with lower resolution.
I brought a second hand Xigmatek XCP A500. Installed it in this rig and I got black screen in Linux. I am pretty sure I will get black screen in Windows 7 64 bit as well. But I am hoping I don't.
Everything have changed except the GPU and the problem still exist. Can this be GPU problem? If so how can I troubleshoot and fix it?
I cannot afford to have new or used GPU right now. I have old Nvidia Quadro GPU which may work for now. But I need better graphics capability for more demanding games. Can you help me fix this GPU?
