Black screen with blinking cursor

I just got my new asrock z97x killer mobo and my i7-4790k. Hooked everything up for a build for my gf and just get a blinking cursor on a black screen after mobo splash. Checked and updated BIOS have 4 different HDDs I have tried 2 new 1 Windows 10 1 Windows 7 and just get the cursor. Made a USB boot stick for Windows 7 and it does the same thing tried 2 different DVD drives for win7 install disc and get the same screen. In the BIOS it recognizes everything I connect to it. Just will not go past that damned flashing cursor. I am currently using the exact same build with my computer and everything works flawless. Bootndisc and USB work tried on other PCs. At this point I have tried swapping the CPU and get the same thing so I'm thinking mobo is faulty. But I am lost and not sure if I should return mobo or if there are any fixes. Please help.

Try clear the CMOS like other thread. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2981714/msi-z97-gaming-install-windows-linux-system-rebooting.html Otherwise RMA the MB.

Either the motherboard is faulty or one of the RAM modules is not seated correctly. Take all the modules out and CPU out and reseat them firmly. If it turns out it does the same thing, the board or something else you have plugged into it is faulty.
