Question Installing RTX 5070 Ti - PSU cable compatibility question

Hello,
I'm upgrading my gpu for RTX 5070 Ti, but I'm not sure about cable compatibility with my current PSU.
My PSU is XPG Cybercore 1000W (10 PCIe - 8-pin / 6+2-pin) and I was thinking I could use Seasonic 12VHPWR cable to connect the GPU. From my understanding it should mechanically fit (2x 8-pin on PSU end and 1x 16-pin on GPU end), but I've noticed that the cable manufacturers specify only certain PSU models as compatible (pretty much only Seasonic PSUs) and mine is not among them. If the cable fits, is it safe to use it anyway or are there any other compatibility aspects to it?

Thanks.

Simple answer, no. You don't top up the engine oil on your vehicle through the exhaust pipe.

Please don't use another PSU's cable on another unit. Work with the cable that's either bundled with your PSU or is meant for your unit. To add, the unit you're working with is made by CWT. Seasonic is another OEM and are not CWT.

The RTGX 5070 Ti will come with an adapter/harness that you can use on your PCIe connectors, negating the need for a specific harness. Out of curiosity, what is the age of your XPG unit?

Thank you for your reply.

The cables that I got with my PSU unfortunately don't include a 16-pin connector, so I'd need to use the adapter included with the GPU, as you say. However, the adapter is 3x 8-pin to 1x 16-pin (picture below):

Does it mean I have to find a cable with 3 8-pins? I've read I'm not supposed to just use 2 of those 3 and plug the 16-pin in the gpu anyway. And the cables that came with my PSU don't include one with 3x 8-pin either.

The age of my XPG unit is now approximately 1 year.

Thanks again for your help.

This is the interface;

and these are the cables you got bundled with your PSU;

out of that you should have access to 2x PCIe6+2pin harnesses without any pigtails/daisychains and 2x PCIe6+2pin harnesses with a daisychanable end. If your motherboard is utilizing 2x8pin EPS, that leaves 3 other ports on the PCIe ends for the PSU available, so you can use 2x PCIe6+2pin harnesses without any daisychains and 1xPCIe6+2pin harness with a pigtail but you have 3 connections to the adapter from the PSU to the GPU.
