recently got this pc:

ASUS A320M-K
RYZEN 3 2200G
CORSAIR LPX DDR4 2400 MHZ
CORSAIR PSU 500W
WESTERN DIGITAL 500GB HDD

I'm using windows 10 pro, current build is 1809. The Vega 8 graphics adapter does not show up on device manager, only Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. It's probably because there isn't any driver installed, but I can't upgrade my APU drivers! Once I do, after the first restart I only get a black screen with no mouse pointer before Windows' login. I have to manually shut down the computer to make it try and boot again. The only way to make windows responsive again is booting in safe mode and removing the Vega 8 drivers with ddu.

I have searched about it, this is a common problem, but nobody has actually gotten an answer. What should I do?

I've been having issues with my Nvidia drivers. I'm using a month old driver that functions fine.
Send AMD a note, with full info, and hope and pray that the problem gets solved in a future update(either AMD or MS). Until then, download a smattering of old drivers and start testing to see if any of them will fully function properly, probably starting a little ways back and working your way forward.
P.S. If it's a common problem, I'd be pretty confident in saying that the problem will eventually get solved, the real issue is functionality right now.

Question from carlos1251 : "Computer shuts down after Ryzen driver is installed, only turns back on on safe mode or after the driver is uninstalled"

bios up to date? chipset driver up to date? windows update up to date?

is this fresh os install ?

Yes, everything is up to date. BIOS version 4203, Windows' latest build, chipset updated and the problem persists.

It is a fresh OS install, I literally got everything yesterday. I'm trying to troubleshoot the parts to see if I can get it RMA'd if it's broken. The problem looks software related, tho.
