blank screen/boot up

Hi,
i have just got a new Asus H170 pro gammer motherboard, along with a Intel I5 1151 chipset compatible with 2x 8gb of ram again DDR4 and compatible.
I have set it all up and started i only have a black screen no post boot or bios i have power to the USB but no mouse or keyboard.
I have done all the usual remove comos battery etc and re set removed ram so only i stick in disconnected everything not required to show boot up to allow a new install of os

What error code are you getting when booting?

Hi Barnesy,
That is it i get no screen at all, no error beebs and i know that the on board speaker is working
no cursor or post bios just a blank screen with no mouse or keyboard.
I have tested USB front and back and have power, cd drive will work on start all fans etc are working so are the LEDs
on the board

Are any of the Q-LED's lighting up on the mobo? (Located top right)

Hi Yes i have a stand by power light on the name light is on and according to manual this is still mode

There are 4 LED lights, CPU_LED, DRAM_LED, VGA_LED, BOOT_DEV. Are any of those lit?

if that is the lights under the name on the MB then yes all on and as said the manual says that is still mode

have had this from Asus support can anyone tell me what i am to do

Dear Mr. Chris,

Unfortunately you did not menion what motherboard BIOS revision do you have, I would recommend a BIOS update or downgrade, depending on your current version.
