Ok so I am trying to do a fresh install of windows 7 on my pc, and every time it reads the USB there's a blinking line on the top left corner. The motherboard is a msi agp 8x which is quite old. Please help as this is urgent
I have on one occasion encountered your situation, I have also read too that even if a USB works on one system, It doesn't mean it would work with all systems.
It all depends on how the USB is formatted and the USB capability and config of the USB ports.
It maybe worth getting a new USB stick to try. Download the ISO to your HDD or SSD and if it's a zip file then extract the file and then burn to your DVD or upload to your empty FAT32 formatted USB.
Did you prioritize the USB in Bios when installing your OS.?
Your ISO file needs to be bootable and the USB should be formatted to fat 32. or the installation won't work.
These are the first things I would check.
There is a small program that will assist: http://rufus.akeo.ie/
A blank screen and blinking cursor indicate there's no boot data/table to read on the disks or USB.

I did use rufus with fat32 format and prioritise the USB in the bios
If you have a correctly formatted and bootable USB in the correctly prioritized drive in Bios, then there is no reason for the installation to fail. Try another USB port in case that is the issue.
Only other thing is if you obtained an ISO from dodgy source and flagged as security violation.
Where did you get the ISO from.?
Is the reason for the new installation from USB because you have no DVD disk or drive.?

Bro, I have tried everything you said, The USB works on every other computer besides this one. I do have a dvd drive but its so slow and would take hours to install windows.
