why are you comparing an issue that black ops has to sc2? SC2 does allow multiple accounts to log in from a single IP. Maybe so many Americans are upset by no LAN b/c they don't have cheap high speed internet?

Really are you kidding me so you dont ever go to a LAN party Oh wait he must be in one of those countries where having a gathering of more than 5 people is considered a Riot????

SC2 Haters, nuff said. The game's fine, takes some getting used to but it's fun. Narrow minded arrogant people... Hate you all. lmao

Actually, I was just at Winter Assembly http://www.assembly.org/winter11/ And most of the people were plying ONLINE games. Honestly, I've had SC2 since it came out and I would have only used LAN once (while on a cross Atlantic flight with my brother).
If you don't want to play it, fine. I just think it's silly to say you won't play it because of some "missing feature".

You "no lan! WHAAAAAAAA!" bitches need to GTF over it. You can play LAN games just fine so long as you share an internet connection with the group.
Oh! You don't want to have to share a connection? Gee, I wonder why? It couldn't possibly be the fact that it's easy to download the pirated version of the game with LAN only, right? Nah, that can't be it. Fucking pirate scum.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I WANT MAH LANS!!!

all you nerds complaining about no diablo 3 news; why dont you just go and play wow, its the same damn game.

[citation][nom]fyasko[/nom]SCII abandoned what made starcraft so good. the OG wasn't overly complicated... just build fast, now there are so many new units and EVERTHING is different. i own people in the original but in SCII it's like learning a completely different game, i mean everything feels different but not in a good way. also the online play is unappealing and not very intuitive i like the old style where you pick a game. i dislike matchmaking and where are the max resource and faster maps? sorry SCII you failed[/citation]

they have fastest map, its under custom games, you fail kid.

Unless Blizzard changes Diablo 3 radically from its predecessors the gameplay is completely different from wow. The only thing they have in common is that both are RPGs. First Diablo uses a system of point & click to move and attack. Then there's the character leveling where you micromanage it's stats, something you can't do in wow.

Obviously the people who don't see a problem with no LAN have never attended a LAN party. Especially these days when most ISP's will charge you for going over a bandwidth cap(here's some speed, but don't use it!).. having a weekend LAN party with a bunch of friends could eat up a lot. Then add the obvious latency issues with 5-10 people on one internet connection to battle.net, and you're gonna be angry with bnet.

At least it's not an FPS though, where latency is brutal.

I bought SC2 on its release date and played it for a couple of months. It was actually pretty good for the first month or so, but eventually I got bored of it. If HotS is $60 (likely), then I won't be buying it anytime soon. I think that SC2 was worth my $60, but an expansion pack is not. If the RPG aspect ends up being really good then I might consider it.

um starcraft 2 is awesome, blizzard always releases well crafted polished games. I dont know what pipe you guys are smokin but put it down.

[citation][nom]Vladislaus[/nom]He does have a point if it's a large number of people connected to battle net from the same point usually there are problems with latency. Even Blizzard had problems in the GSL World Championship Team League because of this.[/citation]

well i don't know about that, but had a sc2 "lan" party right after it came out. did lots of 4v4. the other neighborhood kids weren't invited because they have capped internet which means they are poor and i don't like to hang out with poor kids. i think they went ahead and played in the dirt with sticks instead.

I suppose they're going to charge for parts 2 and 3 of the game, huh? I finished the campaign, and when the credits started rolling, I said, "What? Where's the rest of the story?!" Now I see...

just like matrix reloaded, lotr two towers, every star wars "episode"... how many of those do you own? (or at least paid admission to see once).
a) that's business
b) this was announced like 3 years ago?
c) the mission count in wol was on par with any other rts

stop trolling
