A couple months ago I tried playing it when they offered the F2P up to level twenty, and got terribly bored after an hour, and had to uninstall. During that one hour I had no fun and forced myself to play the entire time. I had a subscription back in 2006 and I have been wanting to get back into it, but I wasted almost 10% of my 250gb Comcast bandwith downloading this game, 24gb (i think).

I still play Warcraft 3 on occasion, and if they made a Warcraft 4 non-mmo, then I would buy it.

[citation][nom]army_ant7[/nom]Why don't they merge WotLK and Cataclysm with the Battle Chest? Hm... Maybe they have a surplus of each of the three discounted products mentioned above...[/citation]
A surplus stock of digital downloads? lol.

If Blizz wants me to come back to WoW, they'll have to sell the expansion for less than $20 and drop the standard monthly fee to $10... and they'll have to do so before release because I definitely do not want to play catch-up in mid-expansion - getting back into decent raiding guilds after falling one content patch behind is very frustrating.

I knew I should've been more specific. Of boxed copies of course silly... (Not gay, just can't find milder word to replace "silly." HAHAHA!)

If you don't like WoW then you probably don't like any MMO's. I've played them all and there's not much difference than the culture and world.

Borderlands 2 going to be much different than the first or is it just the same game with more story and maps? I'm just bitter that most games are just console ports with no improvements taking advantage of PC advancements. Which explains why most PC gamers actually look forward to the PS4/Xbox720. They'll finally take advantage of the raw power offered by a dual-core cpu and 5770/GTX460.

Often times these expansions I think just bring the old players back to try the new content. I've played on and off since 2007 and will tell you this, no way in hell I'm going back - they can keep their tacky cartoon kung fu pandas.

not a bad deal to get started, i still enjoy playing wow though admitadly its in that odd phase between expansions where everybody ahs completed all the content and is just waiting for the next one

[citation][nom]edogawa[/nom]People love Lady Gaga, but I think she is an ugly woman who looks like a man and sings like a banshee; I don't go around screaming my hatred though.[/citation]
Not gonna lie I LOL'd at work... and got strange looks from around the office.

And I'm not sure why people hate WoW either. It almost seems like it is the current fad to hate WoW. Just like it is a fad to hate Apple, when 5-10 years ago people didn't even care about Apple. Almost seems like it is human-nature to hate those that are on top of the totem pole.

I still play WoW--not religiously--but I still play it. And I am not alone... even though it is 8 year-old game and they numbers have recently dropped, WoW is still the most-played MMO by a long shot.
This sale seems like a good way to get new people into the game. Unfortunately, I know several old guildmates who still play non-stop that are using this sale in combo with Recruit-a-Friend to level their pandas. Kind of a shame to abuse the system like that, but in the end it doesn't affect me or my characters--so why should I care?

I left the game last year after a 4-years run, but I'll admit I miss it once in a while.

I think a major problem with WoW is that he became a victim of it's own success. Hardcore gamers were begging for more, so Blizzard became pumping out content in quantity instead of quality. Before, we had a chance to explore and live the lore of the game. Now it's just a race from point A to point B to reach the cap level.

I said it before and I'll say it again, they need to find a way to revive old content and make it relevant again instead of releasing a bunch of new crap.

I stopped playing after TBC. I really liked the end game content then but I feel like Ive missed too much to jump back in at this point.

[citation][nom]Marcus52[/nom]Not excited about MoP (1st time I haven't been excited about a WoW Xpack), and frankly, while I expect Titan to be a technical marvel, I'm tired of the stories the developers are telling. Same devs, same old themes, some that started in Diablo. Not excited about Blizzard, which I think is "over the hill" and on the decline.Thankfully, Gearbox has created a gem called Borderlands, and Borderlands 2 will come out Sept. 18 (in the U.S.). Gearbox is a company that's still excited about their games; if you've ever heard CEO Randy Pitchford talk about Gearbox games in general and Borderlands 2 specifically, you know what I'm talking about. BLT looks to be better than the original in every way you can imagine - including graphics on the PC. PC players aren't getting just a port this time, they are getting the good stuff that can only be done on a PC.So, come September I'll be excited, but this time it'll be for a "RP Shooter" called Borderlands 2, not the WoW Xpack and not an MMOG.[/citation]

Do you get paid by the word?

[citation][nom]Tomfreak[/nom]So when I can get this on Starcraft 2... "may" be diablo 3 @ 5 bucks.[/citation]

I doubt blizz will discount those two games for a long time as they make their $ from the initial purchase of the game for the most part.

Account thefts/hacks, gold spammers, subscription based, mob campers and gold miners

My account was hacked and my brother wanted to know why I didn't respond to his chat. I said my account is still voluntarily suspended. So I tried and was able to log into my account to find someone else paid a months premium. after bringing this to the GM's attn. I was refunded all my loot that was stolen and told in an email to log in to claim my stuff as it would only last 30 days in the mail. I did so and logged off. A few weeks later I get an email saying my account is delinquent. They refunded the hackers payment and I have to pay for the time I used the account to reclaim my stolen stuff. So I would need 2 months payment just to login.

Apparently they are dillusional!!
