This is so pathetic. They should patent their brains... oh wait. Blizzard already went full retard when they patented "Cataclysm" for their WOW expansion and because of that creators of Homeworld Cataclysm had to change name to Homeworld Emergency...

The whole patent law is cesspool of idiocies, unlimited patents extended to end of world and one day later, companies buying out patents just to do patent trolling and espionage, everything that instead of protecting intellectual rights only hurts development, innovation and creativity.

Software should only be allowed to have copyrights not patents. The patent office understands this with books they need to get it into there head code is just a bunch of words in a foreign language to them. A copyright would protect the copy pasting/reuse of the code.
