Hey,

I just today finished up my first build, though some time ago my brother got me a 7870 for the build, he said he was working but it shows no signal even with everything else running, and when I tried with my friend older GFX card it ran fine.

So since my friend has lent me his GFX card for the time being, I figured I could try to bake the 7870, to see if it would work. I did, but some of the capacitors got bloated, or maybe the plastic just melted a bit underneath them , there seems to be no leakage of any kind though. So my question is, if it would be safe to try and stick it in or if i should just discard it?

normal capacitor should look about like this : ||||| if it looks like (||||) you could try replacing it, just cut it off and solder a new one on. if it looks about right stick it in, the worst i think that could happen is the card dies
