Being a bit paranoid rn
Im in the middle of my first PC Build and was watching TV when I heard a loud pop noise which I thought might have been the PC even though I havent touched it for over an hour.
I googled it and this noise is associated with PSU/Mobo bursting, but is that possible if I have never turned the power on. The cable has been plugged into the wall (for grounding purposes) but turned off there, and at the power supply itself for the duration of the build so far.
So is it possible for this to happen or did something else in the house just fall over and Im being paranoid lol?
If it is possible, is there anything I can do to counter any problems before I turn the power on, or anything else the pop noise could have been considering I havent supplied power to the system?
