Question Blue pixels - monitor problems?

I just bought a new gaming computer and monitor. They arrived today and I got it all set up. There is a square of blue pixels showing up in the lower left corner of the monitor. They don't flicker, the appear on both bright and dark screens (though harder to see on dark screens), and don't show up on screenshots. This is a monitor problem, right? It's technically a TV apparently (bought it while tired and apparently didn't read the listing enough, oops!) so does that make a difference?

It's most likely a manufacturing defect. You could return it or put on one of the many stuck pixel fixer videos on youtube. Personally, i'd return it for peace of mind.

I'm planning on returning it anyway since I wanted a monitor not a TV (things don't look as crisp on this) but I wanted to be sure so I could tell them about the problem. (Also verifying that it's not a GPU problem). Thanks!
