Blue Screen of death when logging in

Okay so my PC was running just fine and I decided to turn it off, i came back 30 mins later to find everything I type my password in to log on it loads then blue screens?

Like Gregbattis said your last resort is a system restore assuming you have a system state backup you can restore from....

There is also a repair install option which will replace any Windows Updates that might be causing the problem...

I tried this run SFC /SCANNOW Command and it gave nothing on the first run

Thing is I can't because I don't have the disc as I bought it second hand would it work if I bought the disc?

Yes it should. Given that it sounds like a windows problem and not a hardware issue.

Yes. Unless you can take the hdd and put it inside another computer. If you dont have another computer you can take it to a repair shop or a friends place and get the files off that way.

Well I have a 500Gb HDD THATS installed with nothing on it would that work if I moved it to it and took it out?

You could install the os on that. Just remove your other drive and install windows on it then you can get the files off.

Not if you do a repair install. Repair installs just replaced the corrupted windows files. Your files should remain. I always suggest backing your critical files up to a flash drive first.
