Question Blue Screen of Death

Hello, people!

From a long period of time I keep getting blue screen when: Extracting big files, installing games or the pc is just staying inactive on screensaver.

The error is : KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR STOP: 0x0000007A

After that my pc isn't even restarting, it's staying on the blue screen until I manually restart it from the button.

I tried chkdsk, I forgot which option but it showed me that I have broken files and it couldn't replace/fix them. I will try CHKDSK /P now and I hope it helps.

Do you have any suggestions on what should I do?

Can try moving page file

if you can get into windows this might help
right click This PC on desktop and choose properties
in the next window, choose advanced system properties
on the Advanced tab, under Performance, Click Settings...
on this next window, click Advanced
Under virtual memory, click change...
untick Automatically manage paging file size for all drives
click no paging file and click okay

restart PC
Then retrace above steps on start-up and tick Automatically manage paging file size for all drives so that windows recreates it in a new location.

might also help to run disk scans on drive and check its healthy

Thank you for this reply, but unfortunately this doesn't work 😔

I did the steps, left my pc on screensaver and when I came back after around 30 minutes, it was on blue screen again

well, its just a work around to move page file, who makes the boot drive?

most makers have tests you can run on their drives, if I knew who it was I would suggest it here.

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

1. copy that file to documents
2. upload the copy from documents to a file sharing web site,
3. and share the link in your thread so we can help fix the problem
