So recently I was experience a blue screen with the error code of SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. Today I turned on my PC expecting that same stop, but instead I've come to notice it's changed to IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE. I thought there was a corrupt Windows driver from my research of SYTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, but now I'm thinking it may be corrupt RAM, or the driver. I don't think it could be bad RAM, because I've had this PC since the summer, and had no issues. Anyone got anything?

Top reasons for bluescreens.
Drivers
Heat
Ram

Is your pc dusty?
Make a memtest98 boot disk/usb and check your memory.
http://www.memtest.org/
8 Memtest passes, mebbie let it run overnight.

For drivers you can boot into safe mode and uninstall/remove any drivers you think might be the issue. Then you have to find the newest ones and update. Might be easier to do a fresh windows install.

Okay so it says everything on this drive will be deleted, but i didn't choose a drive.. Should i back my shit up or just click create and proceed?

Back out, you need a usb drive you can clear everything off of without worry.

Edit: Do you have a usb thumb drive that you can erase and use for memtest98?
If you do, you pick this thumb drive when it asks you what drive. It then erases all data off it, and puts memtest 98 on it.
Then you can boot to the thumb drive and run memtest98

I don't. I haven't blue screened since I posted this thread however. Sometimes it crashes shortly after boot, and sometimes it doesn't crash at all. Is there any other way to test my memory?

I haven't uninstalled it, no. But since I've posted this thread I haven't crashed.

Okay so I've done this, it said no errors. Another bad thing happened, :( . A different blue screen.. This time the stop was 0x0000007E. It said Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters. The driver was hssdrv6.sys

Alright, I just did six Windows updates. Do you think that could have solved all of it?
