HI Guys, My problem is this, I bought this new laptop 4 days ago, is an Acer predator Helios 300.
Once on i started to download the window updates straight away and there was one of 4gb that took long time but at the end my system ended up with a blue screen.
I restarted my laptop I checked for update again and I installed everything normally.
The problem now is that sometimes even if I'm not using the laptop I have a blue screen with '' stop code: kmode exception not handled" and the process is wdiwifi.sys.
I tried a window repair and this is the log file :

It does not say the problem and I don't understand if it's a software or hardware problem.

Thx for any answer that I will get .

Johnbl thx for your explanation, I guess I have a lot to do ahahah, anyway on my laptop there is a software called predator sense and there I can select how I want the funs and I can activate the turbo mode.
The turbo has been selected by me all the time even if it's in idle in this way I don't have to set it all the time when I want to play something.
Utorrent yes was working because I put something in download and was quite big.

Now, these blue screen happen only when I am downloading something from utorrent , direct download or I am updating an mmorpg or when I am watching something in streaming (like Netflix) nothing happen if the laptop is not downloading, that's quite weird.

Obviously I read your message but where do you want me to start first?
the intel driver?
how can I do? how is it called and where I can find it?

Sry if I ask a lot but I just want to make sure to do the right thing.

Thx Johnbl

remove the overclocking utility first, then run the dism.exe command.
generally, it is not a good idea to debug a memory trace when a overclocking utility is installed, the driver can make changes to voltages and clock frequencies that cause bugchecks to the point where you can not trust info you are looking at to be correct.

when the kernel has been modified, you can not trust the bugchecks. new versions of windows do not allow drivers to modify the kernel. it is something that only old windows 7 drivers would do or malware/viruses/hacking tools.

I'm assuming you looked in your start menu and couldn't find it there.

Did you look in Add/Remove programs? Open Control Panel (Start / Run / type in control and press OK) and go to Programs, or Programs & Features. Look for the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility in there and if you see it, uninstall it.

If you can't find it there. Go back to the Run dialog and type in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility\
This will open a folder. Look for an Uninstall program that you can run from there.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility\Drivers\IocDriver\64bit\iocbios2.sys is full path

I wonder what its part of as I can't see extreme tuning as an option here: http://www.notebook-driver.com/acer-predator-g3-571-laptop-drivers/

As you already know, IOCBIOS (IOCBIOS.sys) is the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility driver. See if you can find the driver (IOCBIOS.sys) and delete it as well while you're in safe mode, check the driver directory in the system folder, see path below.

If you can't locate IOCBIOS.sys, after deleting the service, go into the device manager and delete the entry there. Locating and deleting the driver from the system folder would be the preferred method.

When you're done run a registry cleaner to remove any leftover keys, I believe CCleaner is free, might want to try that.

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\IOCBIOS.sys

Delete a Service:
1. Run Regedit or regedt32.
2. Find the registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services
3. Find the service there and delete it.

Ok I Went to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility\Drivers\IocDriver\64bit\iocbios2.sys' and I removed the IOCBios2.sys.
Now the folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility\Drivers\IocDriver\64bit, without anything inside, I used Ccleaner to remore the registry keys and now I will run dism.exe.

OK Guys sorry But I have been very very busy this week and I have not run the dism.exe yet.
I just want to ask you, which one you want me to run:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth,
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth or
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth ?
Thx

I tried to run the last one but it give me back error 87 option in DISM unknown, in the list of the various options if I write dism.exe there is an option like cleanup/wim I don't know if it is the same

I'm all for being able to take care of stuff you own, and being able to fix it.
You've been working on it for two months, which to me is ages. :)

I hope you get it sorted out quickly.
