I'll start by saying I am a total noob at trying to OC a system. Never felt the need to in the past and not sure I need to now. I simply wanted to see if I could.
Mobo: msi mpg z390 gaming edge ac
Cpu: intel i9-9900K
Ram: 32 GB DDR4 2400mhz
I initially used the Gaming mode in the mobo BIOS, which automatically boosted my cpu to 4.8GHz and things ran smoothly.
Next I installed the Intel Extreme Tuning app and ran the assisted OC by setting it to 5.0GHz, which, upon restart I get a stop error code blue screen. It reboots fine with the last known working configuration.
Anything in particular I should be looking at? Maybe my cpu just isn't one of the lucky ones?
