Blue screen

I do not know much about computers, but my mother's computer has been going to blue screen after I added a wireless adapter. Sometimes it will get to the Windows xp logo and further, other times it will not even make it that far. At times it will let it boot up completely and start a scan and update but not long before the anti virus can complete the update it goes to blue screen again. I've tried some things in SafeMode as my brother and sister n law have suggested. But I am not entirely sure what I am looking for or doing. Please help me.

Next time you get in Windows do this

This will disable the automatic restart and you will be able to read the STOP code:

Write in here the code (STOP 0X00000... etc etc)

When you disable the automatic restart you can stop the PC from the power button.

she has decided to get the towers wiped clean, once we have the money for it. but as for being able to do much when windows loads on the one, when i try it aoutmatically restarts.

It might be the power supply, maybe you can borrow one and test with it.
