Blue vertical lines when running Witcher 3 on 144Hz

Hi!

A few days ago I finished my PC build:

• 
  QuadCore Intel Core i7-7700K, 4433 MHz (44 x 101)
  Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
  NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (6 GB)
  Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB (500 GB, SATA-III)
  16GB DDR4 RAM

I've already played some Witcher 3 on it which worked fine. However, when I connect my monitor to my pc using DVI-D, instead of HDMI, I get blue horizontal lines in game. I even encountered a Blue screen when I saw this and ALT+Tab'd.

I was hoping if someone could assist me in fixing this.

Could be bad dvi port or cable. Can you try A different cable (or port) or use displayport?

I was so convinced this wasn't the issue but it was. Used the DislayPort that came with my monitor which turned out to work just fine.
