Hey everyone I just bought the blue yeti and thinking about getting a boom arm, nothing's arrived yet and as I look around there are many cheap versions and a lot of people saying either it works or it doesn't and there is one good boom arm for 100 bucks but that's a little rich for me haha at least right now I might wait a couple weeks to get that one but still wanted to ask if anyone might have a good option they've worked with.

Solution
I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DFUEZZI/

No issues with it and it works great. IIRC it comes with a plastic adapter ring (where it screws into the bottom of the mic). I purchased a metal one but turns out that was a mistake. the plastic one would have been better. The reason is the metal adapter stripped the threads on my yeti. Had to superglue the adapter into the bottom of the yeti. It is solid now though. Not the arms fault.

On the arm I linked it shows a mic holder thing. That is removed and the yeti hangs from screw on point. I would take a pic to show you but I am sure you know what I mean since you are looking into arms. I don't use a shock mount or pop filter.

excellent that's really all i needed was a confirmation from someone using the yeti, I might go with the white one since I have a white desk but black is also my fav color so we shall see in the next few seconds...

Thanks again SinxarKnights

I just noticed they changed the clamp part on that arm. I heard some complaints that it wouldn't tighten properly or the top clamp arm would sheer off. Maybe the new version of that is better? I got the white boom arm and it has a white clamp. Mine looks more sturdy but I think it is hollow. If you look at the bottom image (with the mic in front of a PC monitor with the reflection of a girl singing) that is the type I have.

The other difference is the knob to tighten it down is different. On mine it uses the little bar type so you can slide it back and forth to tighten it in limited spaces. For example on a small overhang on the edge of a typical computer desk. With that design they have now, it would be very difficult to mount it in that type of scenario.

Actually looking into this one because it has a easy to use clamp twister and someone in the pics has a yeti hooked onto it... Not entirely sure at which way gonna lead again lol He did say he had to buy a adapter for the bottom of the yeti but I am planning on buying the shock mount which is made for the yeti so i dont think i need that adapter... and it has upgraded parts if you look at the photos nothing like amazing upgrades but it looks like it would be somewhat better...

Guess you only really know if you try it haha
