Bluescreen on startup with.. too many things plugged in?

So I built my girlfriend a computer out of some spare parts I have lying around. An old Asus P5N-D motherboard, an Intel Q8600, a 470gtx, and a couple 2 gig sticks of ram. It ran fine for what seemed like a long time, then the OS started getting unstable. Ran a checkdisk and it solved a massive number of drive issues, but solved that problem. Now I'm at an impasse. The computer will bluescreen and instantly restart if the usb keyboard, usb mouse, and ethernet are plugged in. Any combination of two will boot, but the three together will bluescreen with an IRQL less than or equal error. If plugged in after, the computer may run fine for a time, but will inevitably bluescreen during use. Any suggestions? I'm clueless at this point.
