[SOLVED] Bluetooth Adapter requires me to install drivers upon every boot ?

I'm currently using a plug-n-play TP Link UB400 Bluetooth USB Adapter which is plugged into my
ROG Swift PG27AQDM monitor connected to my PC via USB type-B upstream cable.

I recently built a new PC and have started running into issues that I never had with my previous PC when it comes to my bluetooth adapter, as every time I power on my PC I need to install the generic bluetooth drivers if I want to use bluetooth otherwise I can't turn on bluetooth. Every time I check device manager upon booting, the bluetooth adapter always has a troubleshoot icon,
The problem doesn't happen if I directly connect the adapter to any other USB port on my PC, unfortunately I prefer having it plugged into my monitor as it is the closest position to where I usually sit.

Still doesn't get my adapter to work.

Also some of the drivers they have on the page for the model I have seem to be only for windows 7. The only driver for later Windows OS' seems to be for a later revision of the adapter and didn't work when I tried it.

maybe unplug all usb devices, update the monitor firmware to the current version and retest. looks like there are 9 firmware updates for the monitor

In Device Manager go to the View menu at the top and click on "Show Hidden Devices". Look in the Bluetooth section and if there are bluetooth entries that are greyed out(hidden), right-click on them, then click uninstall for all related bluetooth devices. Uninstall the main one as well. Then leave the usb dongle plugged in and reboot pc and let windows detect it. If it installs ok, then reboot to check for detection problem.

I've just uninstalled every driver and restarted my PC with the adapter kept plugged in. It didn't automatically work but did work when I removed and plugged it back in. Unfortunately it still has the problem of not reading upon restart.

One thing I did notice was that I tried uninstalling all the drivers and removed the adapter before rebooting. Before plugging the adapter back in, the one bluetooth driver that stayed still has a troubleshooting icon

I also have updated my monitor's own drivers with no luck.
One thing I have been thinking about is how my motherboard also supports bluetooth, but when I downloaded the drivers for it I had to revert back to using the adapter I originally had cause the game controllers I tried using were acting pretty badly. Not sure if there's any left over files related to those drivers I don't know about that need to be deleted

Have you tried connecting the monitor to the graphics card using a different cable connection? e.g. hdmi and display port connections. Might be related to the way its connected to the pc and the way the bluetooth dongle communicates with it.

Maybe not an actual solution as to when you have it plugged into the monitor but if you buy a USB extension cord and place it near your monitor being that's you preferred location a compromise with a slight change and you should be up and running.

That's how I run my Bluetooth off an extension mounted about a foot from the ceiling so I can have my earphone on if I go outside. It actually reaches out back to behind the shed.

When the BT is working fine, go to Device Manager
and under its properties go to the advanced tab and the remove the check where it says allow computer to turn off device and OK

So did a bit of digging and just realized that the 9800X3D has integrated graphics. Ended up disabling it in BIOS and realized I could also turn off the built-in bluetooth in the motherboard.

The Display Adapter did disappear, unfortunately that one bluetooth driver still remains even after uninstalling and rebooting

What if you just disable it in device manager,
then remove and plug in the bluetooth dongle on the monitor, then reboot. Then see if it changes in device manager.
