Bluetooth COM Port Not Working - Mouse/Keyboard Unusable - No PS/2 Ports - How To Repair?

Hi

This is going to be a weird situation I'm sure.

I was trying to remove ESET from my system as it had some weird habit of "removing itself" from my antivirus programs in mid PC session. i found out that in order to get rid of the registry log items so that I could re-install it I had to start in safe mode and run the ESET uninstaller which I did.

Now when I boot my system up I get the error message that my Bluetooth COM port is not working and all my USB ports lose all functionality and detection. But for whatever reason they work fine during BIOS setup and ASUS EFI setup. They also do not work in safe mode.

I have no PS/2 Ports on my motherboard (Z68Pro ASUS) so I can't plug in a mouse/keyboard of that type to solve the issue (which I don't have anyway but could acquire from the usual mainstream stores).

How on earth do you repair a system where the mouse and keyboard and USB ports are unavailable? I have the original ASUS motherboard driver CD so presumably I just need to reinstall them, but how on earth?

Other note: - I have Windows 7 Ultimate.

Some additional information:

I tried loading up the Windows boot disk and it doesnt list my operating system - meaning I can't select a system restore date.

Possibility:

Boot to the Win 7 install disk and do a repair and/or restore. If you have a back up you will be able to restore the system and all previous settings.

If the system crashes the bluetooth/USB/com ports and you cannot get to the disk install, then reset the BIOS to factory settings. You may than be able to restore or repair the system, but you may not need to.This may solve the problem.

Those are my suggestions.

Doing a startup repair within the Windows 7 boot disk fixes a partition issue (so it claims) but nothing more.

The last system image is dated back in January 2013.

I can't do a system restore because when it asks me to select an operating system, it can't find one, which makes no sense.

As for the CMOS clear to reset the BIOS I tried that. I unplugged the battery from both the wall and the motherboard itself, waited and plugged it back in. Still no change.

Even if I load in safe mode at command prompt - keyboard wont work.
