Hello,

*Mods: if this is in the wrong spot, please move it*

I am having an issue with a pair of bluetooth headphones. I purchased a new pair of BT headphones and have attempted to use them on my Win7 64-bit machine. I have successfully paired them, but when I go into the sound settings to set them as default, they come up "disconnected" and right-click and selecting "connect" does nothing. It does give me 2 choices after installing "Bluetooth Headset" and "Bluetooth Headphones".

I have tried every fix I can find on the internet, including making sure all of my settings are set up to accept and use the connection. I have tried several different variations in the settings accompanied by several reboots to no avail.

I have a BT mouse (MX Master) connected to this computer with absolutely zero issues. The pairing process with the headphones goes just as it should every time I do it.

I have successfully paired and used the headphones with both my Win10 laptop (stock Dell Wi-Fi/BT adapter) and my android phone (Note 4 if that matters), so I don't believe the issue is on the headphone's end.

Necessary particulars for the computer:

BT card - Intel 7260-AC + 4.0 BT (drivers are up to date, uninstall/reinstall directly from Intel's site as part of trouble shooting)
Headphones - V-Moda Crossfade Wireless (just released), work perfectly with other sources
Win7 64-bit - up to date

The computer is ~4 feet from the headphones, so distance shouldn't be an issue.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance for your help!

Mike

Solution
So after an incredible amount of troubleshooting, it turns out the easiest (and only, as far as I could find) way to fix this it Windows 10. Upgraded, everything BT wise works perfectly, let's hope W10 does the same.
