I finally managed to connect it. The seller replied to my question with the following instructions:

So please kindly try to use your mouse as our instruction below :

2.open the small "turn on " button on the bottom (right) of the mouse .
mouse will be in red light .

3. press the middle scroll button and the right button at the same time for 3 seconds, then release your fingers.

4. the light on the bottom of the mouse will turn off now

4. Choose the bluetooth devise "aixunweiye" to pair the mouse with your computer.

5. Then the mouse will work well for you.
Is Bluetooth on on the laptop?

Did you load the drivers for the mouse?

Good battery? (Only asking because sometimes any supplied batteries are marginal.)

Turn the switch on and off a few times. It may appear to be "on" but is not really far enough over to make contact.

Does the mouse show up under Device Manager?

No intention to "insult your intelligence" but it is the little things that often get us....

There is Bluetooth on my laptop. I have a Surface Book though so I am not sure if it makes a difference or not. The Device Manager keeps searching but never finds it. I will try replacing the batteries but I doubt they are the reason since the ones inside are brand new. With regards to the driver I am not sure where to find the driver.

Go to the website of the Bluetooth Mouse manufacturer and download the driver appropriate for your operating system.

(Avoid any generic driver sites that claim to have the driver.....last resort use only.)

Also print out the installation procedures as well. Check those instructions against any instructions packaged with the mouse.

Install drivers and mouse per the installation procedures on the website if there is a difference. Ideally the website should be the most up-to-date.

Try going into Device Manager and select "Mice and other pointing devices".

Click through the various tabs and you may find a clue. Driver Details on the Driver Tab may be helpful. Sort of dependent on the driver actually being installed but not being the correct driver to work.

You could contact the seller and let them know you did not receive instructions. With any luck they may provide you a link or some other additional information.

My overall reasoning is that many such products are very much the same with the big difference being the "branding". I.e., the seller's logo.

The link you provided appears to be in German. The mouse itself appears to be supported by a number of operating systems.

You can try a Google search using any P/N (part number) or Model Number shown on the mouse.
