blurry line in games

Hi community

So i have a little problem here i just got simcity 5 for Christmas but when i use WASD to move around i get this blurry line starting in the bottom and goes to the top of the screen then resets to the bottom and does the same thing again. So i searched for it on google and found a forum where someone said it was a overheating or dying GPU (not my post on the forum), but i highly doubt both things because as far as i know my GPU isnt overheating and i bought my PC back in june so i dont think i have a dying GPU either. When i first got my PC there was some problems (crashes in games) but they got fixed after they gave me a new GPU.

i've also had this problem in some other games but not as much as in simcity

CPU: i5-4670K, 4 x 3.40GHz (Haswell), 3.80 Ghz Turbo
GPU: MSI GTX 660 TwinFrozr 2GB, OverClocked
PSU: Cooler Master G 500W PSU, 80 Plus Bronze

long shot but is there a bios update for your graphics card?

Whats a bios update?

A BIOS update is for the motherboard, its important you check that too. When you boot the computer before windows boots you hit F2 usually or DELETE, it should say WHAT to hit to boot into BIOS. once at the BIOS (looks like a settings page for your motherboard) you will find the version somewhere and write it down. Then you boot normally, go to the manufacturer website for your motherboard, find your EXACT model and look for downloads/support. Look at the most recent dated release on the BIOS update page, download it and load it onto a USB stick. most new motherboards can update from a USB stick but you might have to look into yours specifically (manual) as how to update the BIOS exactly. do not download the wrong version you may mess something up bad.

Okay so here's an update for you guys. Lately i've been seeing the line in Gmod alot more than i used to, normaly i only saw it when i entered a server and then it was gone after like 2 seconds but now i also see it when just playing. So i played around with framerate limits and at the moment i have it at 65 FPS, i also tried playing BF4 again because i havent been playing it for a while because of bugs and random frame drops. But yesterday when i was playing i only saw ALOT of screen tearing mostly when running inside buildings but i also saw the blurry line sometimes. And it's starting to piss me off so i wrote an E-mail to the website where i bought the computer if they knew about the problem, i havent got an answer yet. So today i tried to record the line in Gmod but i couldnt see the line when i looked back in the video.
